What is Restorative Justice?

What is School Climate?

How does Restorative Justice Affect School Climate?

Restorative Justice allows students to help other students solve conflicts using community building, repairing harm, and reentry. Community building is creating a safe space using self-created guidelines. Repairing harm is finding out what happened, who was affected, and how to repair the harm that has been bestowed upon the community. Reentry is welcoming a person into a new environment from being involuntarily transferred to another place.

What goes on at school. The reaction between students to teachers and teachers to students.

Restorative Justice improves school climate by making the school a better place to learn and have fun by making a stronger and safer community. It allows kids to solve conflicts without hurting their permanent record, and it gives them a new begining. Restorative Justice also provides the teachers and students with hope. It gives them reason to come to school and work knowing that they will be supported.
